WHY DO BUSES LACK OF A GOOD SEAT BELT SAFETY SYSTEM?
ISSUES
-Buses lack a system of security SEAT BELTS for students.
-Only eight States have pass a law that required school buses to be EQUIPPED with a SEAT BELT system. The states are Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana,Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Texas.
-Buses over 10,000 pounds are not required to have a SEAT BELT system.
-States that are near bodies of water or have a higher chance of floods have not implemented the correct equipment of safety gear and straps for school buses.
